● About
Rooted in Soul.
Rising Together.
Roho — the Swahili word for soul and spirit, is exactly what we put into everything we do. Roho Collective is a Twin Cities-based artist collective, gallery, and cultural center serving Black and Brown artists at every stage of their journey. We exist to make sure that "starving artist" is never the story; providing our members with business development, professional growth, employment connections, and a community that advocates fiercely for the value of art in our society.
We are a collective in the truest sense: a unified voice, a shared mission, and a space where emerging and established artists alike can create, connect, and rise. to create boldly.

What we do:
Artist Development & Community
Roho is built for artists first. Through business development workshops, professional growth programming, the Art Heals initiative, and our ever-growing artist network, we provide the tools, knowledge, and community that artists of color need to build sustainable careers. Whether you're just starting out or leveling up, this is your hub.
Gallery, Cultural Space & Marketplace
Roho's gallery is more than a place to display art. It's a living cultural space where the community comes to experience, gather, and celebrate. We host exhibitions, community events, and cultural programming that reflect the richness of Black and Brown creative life in the Twin Cities. Our marketplace gives artists a direct channel to sell their work, prints, and goods, and the space is also available to rent for events, activations, and gatherings that align with our mission. This is a space built for the community, by the community.
Creative Services & Consulting
From large-scale murals and public art projects to commissioned works, arts education programming, and entertainment, Roho connects communities and organizations with exceptional creative talent. We also serve as a trusted liaison and consultant for institutions looking to authentically engage with artists of color, bridging the gap between the arts world and the communities it should be serving.
We are the soul and backbone of the Twin Cities arts community, building a world where Black and Brown artists have every resource they need to thrive.
